UNIZIK Business School Embarks on Case Writing Workshop at Lagos Business School

On Monday, July 8, 2024, the Director of Unizik Business School (UBS) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Chinedu Onyeizugbe, led a group of over 40 master's degree students and several staff members to participate in a three-day Business Case Writing Workshop at the Lagos Business School (LBS).
Welcoming the participants, the Dean of Lagos Business School, Prof. Chris Ogbechie, expressed his confidence in the fruitful outcomes of the partnership between LBS and UBS. He emphasized LBS's reputation for excellence and encouraged the attendees to immerse themselves fully in the workshop to gain robust knowledge.
Prof. Frank Ojadi, one of the facilitators and a faculty member at LBS, praised UBS for its proactive approach, highlighting some case studies produced by UBS doctoral students that are now utilized by business schools across Nigeria, including LBS.
In his response, Prof. Onyeizugbe, speaking on behalf of the UBS staff and students, acknowledged the longstanding partnership with LBS, which began during his tenure as Deputy Director. He assured that this collaboration would be sustained and revealed that the case writing workshop would become an annual event, now included in the UBS curriculum for all master's degree programmes.
Prof. Onyeizugbe also recalled past study tours, including trips to United Kingdom, Rwanda and Morocco for doctoral students, and announced an upcoming visit to Cape Town, South Africa, in October. He said such trips expose students to different business opportunities. He also extended his gratitude to the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Unizik, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, for his unwavering support and approval of these educational trips. The UBS Deputy Director I, Dr. Promise Opara was part of the delegation to LBS.
